Mapping Populism seeks to understand how and why populism succeeded. We are more interested in the ‘how’ and the ‘why’ of the Brexit vote than the political mechanics or economic impacts of this divorce. We are also more compelled by who voted – and who did not vote – for Donald Trump, and less so by his policy agenda. Through comparative geographical analyses, we literally and figuratively map the rise of populism across the UK, the United States, France and Italy.
